Cookie Dough Ingredients

  • 1.75 cup all-purpose flour 220g
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 cup butter, room temperature 113g
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar 50g
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, light or dark 150g
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 25-30 pieces Hershey's Nuggets, chopped
  • sea salt for sprinkling Optional

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda.
  • In another bowl, cream the room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until fully integrated.
  • Gradually mix the flour mixture into the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the chopped Hershey's Nuggets.

Baking

  • Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, keeping them about 2 inches apart.
  • Optionally, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each dough mound.
  • Bake the cookies for 12 to 14 minutes, until slightly golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. This improves flavor and texture. Adjust baking time as oven temperatures can vary.
