  • 1 cup almond milk (or your favorite plant-based milk) Can substitute with any plant-based milk.
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter (or any nut butter you prefer) Cashew or peanut butter can also be used.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder For a sweeter taste, add more maple syrup.
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional) Optional, adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt Balances flavors.

Toppings

  • to taste chopped peanuts For crunch.
  • to taste chocolate chips For additional sweetness.
  • 1 piece sliced banana Adds freshness and decoration.
  • to taste drizzled nut butter Enhances flavor.
  • to taste shredded coconut For added texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the frozen bananas, almond milk, almond butter, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt into a blender.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Stop to scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well mixed.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more almond milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Pour the smoothie into a bowl.

Topping

  • Add chopped peanuts, banana slices, chocolate chips, a drizzle of nut butter, and shredded coconut on top as desired.

Notes
