Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs. boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 medium onion diced
  • 7 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper or to taste
  • Optional garnish Chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  • Cook chicken for 3-5 minutes on the first side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and add diced onions and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in soy sauce and honey, scraping the bottom of the pan to mix in the browned bits.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Simmer until the sauce thickens and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
