  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts Fresh quality is recommended.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a richer flavor.
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed and softened
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite)
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream or half-and-half To make the sauce creamy.
  • Optional chopped parsley or extra Parmesan for garnish For presentation and flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crockpot.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt evenly over the chicken.
  • Pour chicken broth over the seasoned chicken.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese, cubed cream cheese, and minced garlic.
  • Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  • After shredding chicken, add the cooked pasta to the crockpot.
  • Pour in heavy cream or half-and-half and stir until pasta is well coated.
  • Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese or parsley if desired.
