  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or low-fat) Choose high-quality Greek yogurt for the best flavor and texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to your preference.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with other cheeses for variation.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Optional for added heat.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (such as parsley or basil) To enhance presentation.

Preparation

  • Cook your pasta according to the package instructions, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the Greek yogurt, mixing well to combine.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes, stirring until well blended.
  • Gradually add the reserved pasta water to achieve your desired consistency.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the fresh lemon juice.
  • Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until fully coated.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes
