Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips For a festive touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a larger mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Cream the mixture until light and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, beating well until fully combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined.
  • Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips using a spatula.

Baking

  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center appears slightly underbaked.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Serving

  • Present the cookies on a festive platter, optionally sprinkled with powdered sugar. Pair with cold milk or warm chocolate milk.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill your dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for two weeks.
