  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Tenders and boneless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream Add gradually to prevent curdling
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for garnish Chopped parsley
  • as needed Lemon wedges For serving

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika. Place the chicken in the skillet, browning each side for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cover the skillet and let it cook for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken breasts and set them aside on a plate.
  • Pour in the heavy cream into the skillet and stir to combine, then return the chicken to the pan.
  • Let the dish simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Sprinkle dried oregano over the dish and mix well.
  • Serve with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of chopped parsley for garnish.

Notes
