Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Browned for enhanced flavor
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Properly measured
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Add-ins

  • 1 cup toffee pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter with 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, mixing until smooth.
  • Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture, beating until fluffy.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in 1 cup of toffee pieces and 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  • Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft.
  • Let cookies sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
