Preparation

  • Start by slicing the watermelon in half lengthwise.
  • Take one half and turn it cut-side down on a clean cutting board.
  • Cut the watermelon into thick wedges, about 1 to 2 inches in thickness.
  • Remove the rind from each wedge by carefully cutting it away.
  • Cut the remaining flesh into fry-sized pieces, creating long sticks that resemble fries.
  • Repeat the process with the other half of the watermelon.
  • If desired, sprinkle your choice of seasonings over the watermelon fries.
  • Serve immediately, or pair with your favorite yogurt or dip.

Notes
