Ingredients
  

For the Sauce

  • 2 pieces shallots (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup dried mini shrimp
  • 1 tsp dried chili flakes
  • 1/3 cup palm sugar
  • 1 piece chili (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp shrimp paste
  • 1/2 tbsp fish sauce

For Serving

  • 2 pieces green mangoes peeled and sliced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by heating a cooking pot over medium heat. Gather all the ingredients you need to make the sauce.
  • Pour in the water, palm sugar, shrimp paste, and fish sauce.
  • Add the chopped shallots, sliced chili, dried shrimp, and dried chili flakes into the pot. Stir gently.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and allow the mixture to boil for approximately five minutes.
  • Once boiled, transfer the sauce to a serving cup.

Serving

  • Peel the green mangoes and slice them into thin slices.
  • Place the sliced mango in a cup filled with cold water until ready to serve.
  • Serve the sauce alongside the fresh mango slices.

Notes

Opt for firm, slightly sour green mangoes for the best taste. Adjust sweetness and spice level according to preference.
