Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel. Season them with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add paprika, cumin, and onion powder. Mix well, taste, and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat in the creamy sauce. If using, add peas or spinach and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure chicken pieces are uniform in size for even cooking. Watch the garlic closely while sautéing to prevent burning. Adjust seasoning and serve with rice, bread, or a side salad.
