  • 1 pound lean ground beef Opt for lean for a healthier option
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 10-ounce can diced tomatoes and chilies, undrained
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup taco seasoning Customize with your favorite blend
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Add more for extra spice
  • 10 ounces spaghetti Cook according to package instructions
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese Use a blend for more flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 to 7 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Sauté the diced onion in the same skillet until translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and chilies, sour cream, taco seasoning, and hot sauce, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente and drain.
  • Combine the drained spaghetti with the beef and sauce mixture, coating the pasta well.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and stir until melted.

Serving

  • Serve hot in bowls, allowing guests to add their favorite toppings such as olives, jalapenos, and diced tomatoes.
