crescent rolls

sweet potato patties
(cut in half)

sugar

water

unsalted butter

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cut sweet potato patties in half and set aside.
Open the can of crescent rolls and separate each roll into triangles.
Place a half of a sweet potato patty on the wide end of each triangle of crescent roll dough and roll it up.
Arrange the rolled dumplings side by side in a glass baking dish.
In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and butter. Heat until the butter melts and sugar dissolves, then stir in vanilla extract.
Pour the buttery sauce over the arranged dumplings.
Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the dumplings.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
