Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skinless and bones removed Fresh wild-caught salmon is preferred.
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce For a lighter option, consider using low-sugar sweet chili sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Tamari can be used for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish) Optional for garnish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season the salmon lightly.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes, about 1-inch pieces. Season them lightly with salt and pepper.
  • In a bowl, mix together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
  • Place the salmon bites in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them. Toss gently to coat the salmon evenly. Allow the salmon to marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

Cooking

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the marinated salmon bites on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For serving, arrange bites on a platter and consider including a bowl of dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. To reheat, use the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
