  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce This adds sweetness and spice.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Ensure even seasoning.
  • optional sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish Enhances visual appeal and flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water and remove any damaged outer leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, sweet chili sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

Cooking

  • Add the Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss until well coated.
  • Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish, if desired.

Notes

To maximize crispiness, ensure to coat the sprouts evenly and spread them in a single layer. Consider using the broiler for a minute to enhance crispness. They can be stored in the fridge for 3-5 days and can be frozen for up to 3 months. Mix in other veggies like carrots or bell peppers for added flavors.
