  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Can be adjusted for sweetness
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil, blending well.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the crockpot in a single layer and pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks and stir to combine with the sauce.

Serving

  • Serve the shredded chicken over rice, in sandwiches, or with your favorite side dishes.
