Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup sprinkles optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan thoroughly.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in one egg and the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually combine the dry mixture with the creamed mixture until evenly combined.
  • If using, gently fold in the sprinkles.

Baking

  • Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes
