Brownie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Topping

  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
  • 1 cup whipped cream or frosting, for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth it into an even layer.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Topping

  • Once cooled, spread the whipped cream or frosting evenly over the brownies.
  • Sprinkle the crushed freeze-dried strawberries over the whipped cream layer for that crunchy topping.
  • Cut the brownies into squares and enjoy!
