Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans strawberry pie filling (21 oz each)
  • 8 oz whipped cream cheese
  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Pour strawberry pie filling into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Add dollops of whipped cream cheese evenly over the strawberry filling.
  • Melt the butter and mix it with the cake mix until crumbly; do not overmix.
  • Spread the cake mixture over the cream cheese dollops.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Freezing is also an option; wrap tightly and store for up to 3 months.
