Spicy Garlic Butter Chicken Tortellini

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast or Thighs Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups Fresh Cheese Tortellini (or ravioli)
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Basil or Parsley Chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
  • In the same pot, melt an additional tablespoon of butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the crushed red pepper flakes and stir to combine.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the fresh tortellini and cook for 4-6 minutes until tender.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the pot and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley.
