Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces Use fresh chicken for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste Salt

Cooking Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced (red, green, or yellow) Choose your favorite color.
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce Adjust for desired heat.
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Marinating the Chicken

  • In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce, black pepper, paprika, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to coat all pieces. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  • Add minced ginger and garlic, and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Toss in the sliced bell pepper and onion. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until veggies soften slightly.
  • In a bowl, combine chili sauce and cornstarch with a splash of water. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken and vegetables, stirring well to ensure even coating. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with additional green onions or sesame seeds. For variations, feel free to mix in other vegetables or adjust the heat level with chili sauce.
