Ingredients
  

For the cookie base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Ensure accurate measurements for the right texture.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Chop finely for even distribution.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • additional cup powdered sugar for rolling For final dusting.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix until well incorporated.
  • Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour, salt, and chopped nuts until the mixture is well blended.
  • Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  • Remove them from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  • While warm, roll each cookie in additional powdered sugar and then allow to cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes
