  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Gradually add heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract, mixing on low speed until combined.
  • Increase speed and mix until the dough feels firm and smooth.
  • Divide the dough into two equal parts; mix red gel food coloring into one part.
  • Roll small pieces of both doughs into thin ropes and twist together into a marbled effect.
  • Pinch off small sections of twisted dough to form individual mints.
  • Arrange mints on wax or parchment paper and allow them to air dry for about 1 to 2 hours, then let them sit for up to 24 hours before serving.
