Snowman Cheese Ball
A delightful holiday appetizer shaped like a snowman, combining cream cheese, cheddar, and colorful vegetables, perfect for festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Cheese Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
- 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese Can be replaced with other cheese variants.
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions Adds freshness.
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper For color and flavor.
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder For enhanced flavor.
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder For depth of flavor.
Decoration
- Olives or peppercorns for the eyes and buttons Use your choice of garnish.
- 1 Carrot for the nose Cut into a small piece.
- Crackers for serving Assorted types can be used.
Instructions
Preparation
- Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, diced red bell pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl.
- Blend the ingredients together until well combined and smooth.
- Use your hands to roll a portion of the cheese mixture into a large ball for the body.
- Take a smaller portion to create a smaller ball for the head.
Assembly
- Place the large cheese ball on a serving platter as the body of the snowman.
- Position the smaller cheese ball on top to form the head.
- Press olives or peppercorns into the cheese for the eyes and buttons.
- Insert a piece of carrot into the head for the nose.
- Add decorative elements as desired, such as a scarf made from fabric or herbs.
Serving
- Serve chilled alongside a platter of assorted crackers.
- Encourage guests to spread some cheese onto the crackers.
