Instructions
Cut the tops off each bell pepper and remove the seeds.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Stuff each bell pepper with the meat mixture.
Place the stuffed peppers upright in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
If using cheese, sprinkle it on top during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
