Slow Cooker Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large Bell Peppers Any color
  • 1 pound Ground Meat Beef, turkey, or chicken
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice Brown or white
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Plus more if desired
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Cheese Optional, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Cut the tops off each bell pepper and remove the seeds.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Stuff each bell pepper with the meat mixture.
  • Place the stuffed peppers upright in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  • If using cheese, sprinkle it on top during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
