  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes (diced with green chilies) Add all contents to the dip
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Use freshly shredded for best results
  • 1 cup cream cheese Softened for easy mixing
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Adds creaminess to the dip
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For flavor enhancement
  • 1 tsp onion powder For flavor enhancement
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust based on preference

Preparation

  • Brown the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.
  • Combine Ingredients: In the slow cooker, combine the browned beef with the can of Rotel tomatoes and mix well.
  • Add the Cheeses: Stir in the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well mixed.
  • Mix in the Extras: Add the sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir thoroughly.
  • Cook and Stir: Set the slow cooker on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally until the cheese is melted and the dip is smooth.
  • Serve: Use a ladle to serve the dip warm alongside crispy tortilla chips.
