Preparation

  • Season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken and let it rest.
  • Combine cornstarch and water in a bowl to create a slurry.
  • Stir the slurry into the remaining sauce in the slow cooker and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes until thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the slow cooker, ensuring it is coated with the sauce.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  • Serve over rice, with steamed vegetables, or in wraps.
