Preparation

  • Season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried thyme.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Brown the seasoned chicken thighs for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the browned chicken to your slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Scatter the sliced onions and minced garlic on top of the chicken in the slow cooker.
