  • 2 bags (24 oz each) frozen hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Start by spraying the insert of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine your frozen hash browns, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, melted butter, cream of chicken soup, and chopped onion.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix everything together until evenly blended, then pour the mixture into your prepped slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Cover your slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • You’re looking for the cheese to be melted and the casserole to be heated through.

Serving

  • Once done, carefully remove the lid, stir if desired, and serve warm.
