Instructions
Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
Place the seasoned roast into the slow cooker.
Chop the onion and mince the garlic. Sprinkle over the beef.
Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Add sliced carrots and diced potatoes around the beef.
Cover and cook on LOW for about 8 hours.
Check that the beef is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
Shred the beef and stir it back into the gravy.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
