  • A pinch salt

Preparation

  • Place the cottage cheese in a blender or food processor.
  • Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, milk, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend the ingredients on high speed until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy. You may need to pause and scrape down the sides to ensure everything blends evenly.
  • Once you achieve a velvety texture, taste and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  • Pour the mousse mixture into individual serving bowls or glasses.
  • Cover the bowls with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the mousse to set.
  • Once chilled, remove from the refrigerator and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
