Ingredients

shaved steak
(flat iron, filet mignon, or sirloin work best)

tablespoon
cornstarch
1/4
cup
low sodium soy sauce
1
tablespoon
freshly grated ginger
3
cloves
garlic
(minced)
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/4
teaspoon
black pepper
2
tablespoons
brown sugar
2
tablespoons
olive oil
1
bunch
asparagus
(trimmed and chopped)
Instructions
Toss the thinly sliced steak with cornstarch and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Mix soy sauce, ginger, garlic, salt, pepper, and brown sugar in a bowl to create a marinade.
Coat the steak with half of the marinade.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add asparagus and green onions to the same pan. Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until just tender.
Return the steak to the pan, add the remaining marinade, and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
