Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts Fresh and firm
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup nuts (like walnuts or pecans) For added crunch

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse Brussels sprouts under cold water and remove any damaged outer leaves.
  • Cut off the stem and slice each sprout into thin shreds using a sharp knife or a food processor.

Sautéing

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the shredded Brussels sprouts to the skillet, toss to coat with the oil and garlic, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sauté the Brussels sprouts for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender and slightly caramelized.
  • Once done, remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the Brussels sprouts. Toss gently to combine.
  • If using nuts, add them at this point and give the sprouts one last toss. Serve warm, and enjoy!
