There’s something incredibly satisfying about a warm plate of sausage pasta after a busy day. It’s a hearty, flavorful, and comforting meal that comes together quickly.
0.5cupheavy cream or tomato saucedepending on preferred sauce style
2tablespoonsolive oil
to tastesalt and freshly ground black pepper
for garnishfresh basil or parsley
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove sausage from casing if needed, crumble into skillet, and cook until browned and slightly crispy.
Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onions are translucent and fragrant, about 3–4 minutes.
Stir in diced tomatoes and simmer until sauce thickens and flavors meld.
Pour in heavy cream or tomato sauce. Stir well and cook for a few minutes to develop a rich texture.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
