  • 2 cups pretzels Use fresh, crunchy pretzels for the best texture.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Any type of chocolate can be used (dark, milk, or white).
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Keep heat low while melting to avoid burning.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt Sprinkle over the bark for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread the pretzels in a single layer across the parchment.

Making the caramel and chocolate

  • In a saucepan over low heat, pour in the caramel sauce and stir until it melts smoothly.
  • Pour the melted caramel sauce evenly over the pretzels.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating for 30 seconds at a time and stirring until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel pretzel layer.
  • Sprinkle sea salt over the surface of the chocolate.

Setting and serving

  • Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes to allow the bark to set.
  • Once cooled, lift the parchment paper off and break the bark into pieces for serving.
  • Arrange the pieces on a platter, or package them as gifts.
