Main Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies Regular or mint flavor can be used for variations.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
  • 8 oz chocolate (milk or dark, for dipping) Can use any type of chocolate based on preference.
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies Use for rolling the balls after coating in chocolate.

Preparation

  • Crush the Oreo Cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and mix until creamy.
  • Roll small portions of the Oreo-cream cheese mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Freeze the tray of formed balls for about 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

Dipping

  • Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated, and place them back on the parchment-lined tray.
  • Roll the chocolate-covered balls in crushed peppermint while the chocolate is still melted.
  • Let the chocolate-covered balls sit until they harden, or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to speed up the process.

Notes
