  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons sriracha Adjust based on heat preference.
  • 2-4 tablespoons warm water To adjust consistency.
  • to taste chopped peanuts and green onions Optional garnish.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey or maple syrup, lime juice, and sriracha.
  • Whisk the ingredients together until they form a smooth paste.
  • Gradually add warm water, one tablespoon at a time, whisking until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors if necessary by adding more lime juice or honey.
  • Once blended and smooth, transfer the sauce to a serving bowl.
  • If desired, garnish with chopped peanuts and green onions.

Notes

Store leftover peanut sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. It can also be frozen in ice cube trays for up to three months.
