Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Use fresh or sustainably sourced salmon.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For drizzling before baking.

For the dill sauce

  • 1 cup plain yogurt For a creamy base.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped Alternatively, use dried dill (less amount).
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice For tanginess.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon or whole grain) Adds depth to the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional) For a touch of sweetness.
  • for serving lemon wedges A garnish to add extra zing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down, and drizzle with olive oil.

Baking

  • Bake the salmon in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Dill Sauce Preparation

  • While the salmon bakes, mix together the yogurt, chopped dill, lemon juice, minced garlic, mustard, and honey in a bowl until well combined.

Serving

  • Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Serve the salmon with a generous spoonful of dill sauce on top or on the side, along with lemon wedges.

Notes

For a crispy finish, broil the salmon for a minute or two at the end of baking. You can marinate the salmon before cooking for extra flavor.
