  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature Best if at room temperature for mixing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Crush the Oreo Cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag and rolling pin.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese until well mixed.
  • Scoop out the mixture and roll it into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate the balls for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  • Melt your chosen chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, lifting it out with a fork and letting the excess chocolate drip off.
  • Optionally, sprinkle colorful toppings over the chocolate-coated balls before the chocolate hardens.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden completely at room temperature or refrigerate to speed up the process.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week, or freeze for longer storage. Consider using flavored chocolate coatings for variety.
