  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Should also be at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Ensure freshness for proper leavening.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark, milk, or white chocolate as preferred.
  • 1 cup Oreo cookies, crushed Crush them into small pieces.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with a mixer until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed Oreo cookies gently.

Baking

  • Using a spoon or scooper, drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them adequately apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
