Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp Orange zest
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger freshly grated
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch. Beat the egg and add to the mixture. Coat the chicken pieces in this batter.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • In a saucepan, combine orange juice, zest, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the sauce thickens, add the crispy chicken back into the pan and toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired and serve hot!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the sweetness or spice level by adding more sugar or red pepper flakes, depending on your preference!
