Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  • Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  • Fold in oats and chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

You can add nuts, swap chocolate chips for dried fruit, or even drizzle the top with peanut butter before baking.
