  • 2 rolls puff pastry Store-bought puff pastry works best.
  • 6 tbsp Nutella Spread evenly on the pastry.
  • 1 large egg For egg wash to achieve golden color.
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar For dusting before serving.

Preparation

  • Unroll the first roll of puff pastry on a clean, flat surface.
  • Spread Nutella evenly across the surface of the first pastry roll, avoiding the edges.
  • Unroll the second puff pastry and place it on top of the first layer, pressing gently.
  • Cut star shapes from the layered pastry using a medium-sized star cookie cutter.
  • Draw a circle on parchment paper using a dinner plate as a template.
  • Arrange the star shapes around the drawn circle on the parchment, overlapping slightly.
  • Whisk the egg and brush it onto the tops of the star pastries.
  • Transfer the parchment with stars to a baking tray.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan) and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once baked, let the wreath cool slightly, dust with icing sugar, and serve.
