  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Can be substituted with honey or maple syrup.
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs Crush finely for a better texture.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Optional, can add almond or hazelnut pieces for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Consider adding almond extract for a twist.
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to streamline the process.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until thoroughly combined. If using nuts, fold them in at this stage.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls or flatten them into cookie shapes.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Refrigerate the cookies for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.
