Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed dried fruits (such as raisins, cranberries, and apricots) Choose high-quality dried fruits for the best flavor and texture.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (options include walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
  • 1 cup crushed biscuits or graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness according to your preference.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather two large mixing bowls. In one bowl, combine your mixed dried fruits and chopped nuts. Toss to ensure even distribution.
  • In the second bowl, mix together the crushed biscuits or graham crackers, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), melted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until fully combined; the mixture should appear sticky.
  • Gradually add the fruit and nut mixture into the chocolate mixture. Stir gently but thoroughly until all ingredients are well coated.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Press the combined mixture firmly into the dish to ensure it’s compact.
  • Chill the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least four hours or preferably overnight to allow the cake to set.
  • After chilling, lift the cake out of the dish using the parchment paper and cut it into squares or bars.
