Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Wet Mixture

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter or coconut oil Use quality ingredients for better flavor.
  • 1/2 cup plant-based milk Any plant-based milk can be used.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Opt for pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.
  • Pinch sea salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats and cocoa powder. Stir well and set aside.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the sugar, vegan butter or coconut oil, plant-based milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Stir until the mixture starts to boil.

Cooking

  • Allow the mixture to boil for exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Remove from heat and pour the hot mixture over the oats and cocoa in the mixing bowl. Stir everything together until well combined.

Shaping Cookies

  • Let the dough cool for a few minutes. Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls onto a lined baking sheet, flattening them slightly to form cookies.

Setting

  • Allow the cookies to set at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes until completely cooled.
