Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened At room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Spoon and leveled for accuracy
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Ensure it's fresh for optimal results
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (a mix of milk and dark) For a rich flavor
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup ground oats

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and ground oats.

Baking

  • Drop generous spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them at least 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for about 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center remains soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
