Base Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla or pound cake (pre-baked or store-bought) Cut into small cubes
  • 1.5 cups vanilla custard or pudding
  • 1 cup whipped cream Plus extra for topping

Fruit Layers

  • 1.5 cups mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) Fresh, can be adjusted to season
  • 0.5 cup cranberry sauce Optional for festive flavor

Garnishes

  • 0.25 cup pistachios Chopped, for garnish
  • Red and green sprinkles For decoration
  • Fresh mint leaves Optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare the cake layer by cutting the store-bought vanilla or pound cake into small cubes.
  • Layer the trifles in small cups or jars, starting with a layer of cake cubes at the bottom.
  • Pour vanilla custard or pudding over the cake cubes.
  • Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the custard.
  • Repeat the layering process with more cake, custard, and berries until cups are filled.
  • Top each trifle with whipped cream.
  • Chill the trifles in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Serving

  • Display the mini Christmas trifles on a festive dessert table or distribute to guests in their cups.
