Ingredients
  

Taco Base

  • 1 pound corn tortillas Fresh corn tortillas are recommended.
  • 1 pound grilled chicken or beef, cubed or sliced Choose your preferred protein.

Toppings

  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro Fresh cilantro enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges For squeezing over tacos.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • sliced radishes (optional) For garnish.
  • avocado slices (optional) For garnish.
  • hot sauce (optional) For drizzling on tacos.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Warm your tortillas on a skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and flexible. Keep them warm in a clean towel.
  • Season the grilled chicken or beef with ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly coated.
  • In a separate pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned meat and cook for 5-7 minutes or until heated through.
  • Prepare your toppings by dicing the onions and tomatoes, chopping the cilantro, and slicing the lime into wedges.

Assembly

  • Once the meat is done cooking, assemble the tacos. Take a warm tortilla, add a scoop of the meat, and top with diced onions, chopped cilantro, and tomatoes.
  • Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side, allowing everyone to squeeze lime over their tacos according to taste. Add sliced radishes, avocado, or hot sauce if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate meat overnight. Use fresh ingredients for toppings to enhance taste. You can also try variations such as grilled shrimp or fish, or roasted vegetables for a vegetarian option.
