Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 3-4 fillets salmon fillets, skin removed Use fresh salmon for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the salmon.

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust for heat preference.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup unsalted chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese Opt for freshly shredded cheese for best flavor.

For Garnish

  • to taste fresh basil For garnish before serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine the dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Sprinkle half of the seasoning mixture over the salmon fillets and rub it in to coat both sides.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the salmon fillets in the skillet, flesh side down, for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken stock, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and the remaining seasoning mixture. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for approximately 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  • Return the seared salmon to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each fillet. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes based on preferred doneness.

Serving

  • Plate the Marry Me Salmon and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce. For variation, incorporate vegetables or consider using different proteins. Double the sauce ingredients for a creamier dish.
